Promos

On a Content Preparation project, every film and every season owes three promos: Promo 30s linear, Promo 20s FAST and Promo 15s social 9:16. They are placeholders like any other, under Deliverables, Promos. A promo is cut from the programme, so the programme's video comes first.

Making a take

An empty promo takes a finished promo by drop, or makes one. Promo Studio walks the brief: length, platform, shape, tone, language and the tune-in line; the beats with their cost, to approve before anything is spent; the voice; the music; the end slate; then the script, which you edit before anything is recorded. Build automatically, in its split menu, makes the take from the row's brief and its template with no steps. While a take is made, its frame lists Planning, Voice, Music and Assembly, each waiting, under way or done.

Takes

A promo opens on its take. About holds the facts and the shots analysed; Takes holds every take with what it cost, Make another take, Download and Open in Promo Studio. Download saves the current version's render, rendering it first where it has none, and its voiceover, dialogue and music as WAV files, each named for the promo and the take.

Promo Studio

The editor, a full-screen studio beside the Subtitle Studio. The timeline edits the cut a frame at a time, with undo: shots trimmed, moved, split and reframed, voiceover lines moved, text, transitions, the music's dips and the end slate with its logo. Save updates the version open and keeps its earlier saves to restore; Save as a new version branches. Compare plays two versions side by side or A/B. Each graphic has Change graphic, Create in Image Studio, and Animate, priced first.

ExportWhat it gives
Download editThe cut packaged for Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Avid Media Composer, with handles.
Download renderThe cut rendered as a proxy, or at full resolution from the programme’s master.
Commit export to placeholderThe cut rendered from the master at the deliverable’s spec and filed on the promo’s row, with its QC.

API

RouteWhat it doesNeeds
GET .../deliverables/{id}/promo/graphicsThe take’s graphics, each with its role, length and picture, and what making and animating them costs.project.view
POST .../promo/graphics/{graphicId}/imagesA picture for one graphic, made in the Image Studio with its defaults: the graphic’s new version, copied into the title’s Assets.project.configure
POST .../promo/animateAnimates one graphic or all of them into short clips. Priced up front, and refused with 409 before anything is spent where it would pass the project’s AI spend cap.project.configure

The routes sit under /v1/projects/{id}. Every write takes an Idempotency-Key and lands on the action log with the credential named. No MCP tool makes promos yet: For agents.
